In this e-learning course, Keys to Success in Disciplining, we take a close look at some discipline methods that can help you guide your child towards being responsible and developing self-discipline with the long term goal of learning how to think to enable them to ‘land on their feet’ in today’s and tomorrow’s rapidly changing world.

We will explore how to apply consequences as part of disciplining our children and help them learn about the effects of their choices and decisions. We will also provide you with some tips and strategies to help you with some specific discipline challenges such as alternatives to spanking, time-outs, sibling rivalry and ADD/ADHD children.

Course Objectives

By completing this e-learning course, you will be able to:

  • List the traits & characteristics we hope our children will have and describe how our discipline methods can help develop these.
  • Describe what discipline actually is and the difference between discipline and punishment.
  • Explain the Natural & Logical Consequences.
  • Apply Natural & Logical Consequences to discipline children.
  • Describe & apply strategies to specific discipline challenges such as Time-outs, Sibling Rivalry and ADD/ADHD children.
