Dina has been working for Family Educator Centre since January, 2013 as the Family Resource Centre Coordinator. Prior to this she was a Designated Early Childhood Educator for the Peel-Dufferin Catholic District School Board in the Full Day Kindergarten Program for two and a half years. She also worked as a supply Early Childhood Educator for the Region of Peel and Family Day daycare services. She has her BA from York University majoring in Psychology and graduated with high honours from Sheridan College. Dina worked for Bank of Montreal for 18 years before deciding to make a career change and become an Early Childhood Educator.

Lorie Ann has been involved with Family Education Centre in various capacities since 1981. She started out as a participant attending many parenting courses and workshops, then progressed to volunteering on the Board of Directors for several years and then became the Program Coordinator – a role she has worked in for approximately 30 years. Lorie Ann coordinates and manages our extensive courses and workshops, organizes our Parent Educator contracts, training and ongoing support programs as well as general office management. She has a husband, a grown up daughter who was schooled in the ways of FEC, one four year old granddaughter and a grand dog named Kaela.

Kolleen has been working for Family Education Centre for the past four years in the area of Community Development and became a Parent Educator for the organization within the past year after completing FEC's training program. She has been involved in the field of parent education for the past 9 years from participating in courses and workshops to volunteering with parent support organizations to now promoting parent education and facilitating parenting groups. Kolleen's background, work experience and formal education is in Marketing, with a B.Comm. degree.

Shayline recently joined Family Education Centre, and is responsible for the coordination of programs and workshops. Shayline holds an Honours BA in Sociology, and an Assaulted Women and Children’s Counsellor/Advocate Diploma from George Brown College. With 15 years experience in not-for-profit, she has worked for organizations such as Malton Neighbourhood Services, South Asian Women’s Centre, Rexdale Community Health Centre and MicroSkills.

Although Paula became part of the Family Education Centre Team in January 2016, she has previously worked on various projects for the agency  including Train-the-Trainer, curriculum development and as a Parent Educator before moving into her current role as  Manager of Special Projects/Design. Paula’s background is adult facilitation, education and instructional design and she worked in this industry for over twenty years for companies such as the Bank of Nova Scotia, Desta Communications and JALC English Language Services prior to joining the Family Education Centre Team.


Lynn began working with the Family Education Centre 14 years ago. She has moved through many positions with the organization, and has acted as a volunteer, bookkeeper, Financial Officer, certified Parent Educator, and most recently, as Executive Director. Lynn’s background is in Financial Analysis and Coordination, and she worked as a Credit Manager and Buyer for a large corporate retail outlet before joining FEC. As a Parent Educator, Lynn brings front line knowledge and experience of what it’s like to be a part of our programs and makes all operational decisions with the best interests of our clients in mind.
