When children are bickering and angry with each other, some parents find it helpful to NOT take sides but to simply acknowledge each child’s point of view and ask for suggestions on how to settle it. For example, “Lil, you want to finish your game on the I-pad and feel your turn should continue a little longer. Matt, you have been waiting for your turn and feel you should be able to start right away, even though Lil is not quite finished her game.  What should we do here?”
