At the Family Education Centre, we help families raise responsible, caring and resilient children.

Family Education Centre started with a group of parents who held a strong commitment that improving parenting skills was a critical component in raising emotionally healthy children. In 1974, they began studying evidence-based materials based on Adlerian philosophy and decided that they wanted to share these skills with other parents when they began to see the impact in their own families. They began facilitating parenting programs to other parents within their own community, and the basis of FEC took root.

We continue to enrich the lives of families in Peel

Today, Family Education Centre is known as “FEC” in Peel.

FEC uses Adlerian principles to encourage positive family relationships, basing everything on the premise that when we feel encouraged, we feel capable and appreciated and will generally act in a connected and cooperative way. For more information about Adlerian theory, please click here.
