There is no doubt that with the complicated lives we have today, all of us, including our children, are exposed to more stress and intensity than ever before. When children experience too much stress, it can affect their concentration, focus and learning and result in strong feelings, fears, or frustrations.
In addition, with the current pandemic , families may be even more stretched and stressed in trying to cope with the difficult life style changes, the added burden of responsibility, the changing restrictions we face, and for many, the resulting economic shortfalls.
However, just as there is more opportunity for stress in our modern life, there is also opportunity to help our children develop the coping strategies and life skills to help them deal with the stress and anxiety.
In this course, Stress Less: Stress Strategies for Parents, Caregivers and Children, you will briefly explore what stress is, how it shows up in children, and some of the common causes. You will then be introduced to six effective stress strategies with supporting tactics you can quickly begin using to help prevent unnecessary stress in your child’s life AND skills to help you support them in coping with stressful situations. All the skills and strategies in this course are also applicable to adults as well.
BONUS – we have included some additional information to help with the added stress many families are currently facing with the Covid-19 pandemic.
