Start age-appropriate conversations as young as possible and keep having open and honest discussions about healthy ways they can use social media as they grow and develop. Talk about things that you see on social media, what your concerns are and how it makes you feel. Make sure you also listen to your child’s issues, concerns, and perspectives without judgement.
Want to explore this and other topics about keeping children and youth safe? Join us for a parent-to-parent discussion and discover some strategies and techniques in our Keeping Children and Youth Safe Workshop series on Tuesday from 6:30 to 8:30 pm, February 10, 17 and 24. Whether you attend one or all three workshops, you will be sure to pick up some tips that can help keep your child or youth safe.
